Overview

Indoor air quality experts for homes, offices, and schools.

Our consultants combine licensed NYS Mold Assessor credentials with the deeper certification of a Certified Indoor Environmentalist (CIE) to assess the full range of indoor environmental risk factors — not just mold. Most poor indoor air quality complaints have multiple contributing causes; our job is to find all of them.

We work with homeowners, property managers, building owners, and schools across Long Island and NYC to produce defensible IAQ reports that drive real corrective action.

  • NYS Mold Assessments
  • Ventilation assessments (HVAC, unit ventilators, split systems)
  • Microbial sampling & analysis
  • Clearance inspection & sampling
  • Particulate, CO₂ & humidity profiling
  • School and commercial building IAQ programs

What's included

What our indoor air quality testing covers.

A proper IAQ assessment looks at the building as a system — sources, pathways, and occupants. We use a combination of real-time instrumentation, integrated sampling, and building-science analysis.

NYS Mold Assessment

Full Licensed NYS Mold Assessment with sampling, scope of work, and remediation protocol when needed.

Ventilation Assessment

HVAC, unit ventilators, and split systems evaluated for airflow, filtration, and microbial amplification.

Microbial Sampling

Air, surface, and bulk sampling analyzed by an accredited environmental microbiology lab.

Clearance Inspection

Independent post-remediation verification — visual plus sampling — to confirm a project is complete.

CO₂, Humidity & Particulate Logging

Real-time data logging where occupant comfort, ventilation rates, or particulate exposure are in question.

Building Science Diagnostics

Moisture mapping, thermal imaging, and envelope assessment to find the root cause of recurring IAQ issues.

Our Process

A clear, certified workflow — start to finish.

01

Concern Intake

We start with a detailed conversation — symptoms, building history, recent renovations, water events, and any prior testing — so the assessment is targeted from the start.

02

On-Site IAQ Investigation

Our CIE-led team performs a thorough on-site assessment using calibrated instrumentation, integrated sampling, and ventilation diagnostics.

03

Report & Action Plan

You receive a comprehensive report with observations, lab data, and prioritized recommendations to enhance the air quality of your space.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Questions we hear most often. Don't see yours? Reach out and we'll answer.

When should I test my indoor air quality?+

Common triggers include unexplained allergy or respiratory symptoms, recent water damage, a musty smell, post-renovation concerns, a real-estate transaction, or tenant/occupant complaints in a commercial property.

How is indoor air quality testing different from mold testing?+

Mold testing focuses specifically on fungal spores. A full IAQ assessment also evaluates ventilation, particulates, humidity, CO₂, microbial contamination, and the underlying building science driving any issues found.

Do you do indoor air quality testing for schools and commercial buildings?+

Yes. We support school districts, property managers, and commercial building owners with IAQ programs, post-incident assessments, and tenant-complaint investigations.

Is my Certified Indoor Environmentalist independent?+

Yes. Our assessments are not bundled with remediation, so our findings and recommendations are conflict-free. This is critical when results may be used in claims, litigation, or transactions.

How long does an IAQ assessment take?+

Most residential assessments take 1.5–3 hours on site. Commercial assessments scale with building size and instrumentation deployed. Lab turnaround is typically 3–5 business days.

What kind of report will I receive?+

A written assessment with site observations, photo documentation, calibrated readings, lab data with interpretation, and a prioritized list of recommended corrective actions.
